We purchased Hurricane Windows —We Met with 4 different vendors but could tell immediately the difference with Advanced! From our Appointment with Fred (salesman) Meeting with Al (owner), communication with Dawn in their office who helped us with communications with our HOA, and our Day of Installation by MJ and his team – The ENTIRE Process was Seamless! Everyone with Advanced walked there Talk and were excellent to work with! Highly recommend!
A Window Contractor Who Restored My Faith in Honest Business
I got five estimates for new impact windows – the kind with built-in grids so you don’t have to clean each square, and no condensation issues. Every company promised 3-6 months for installation.
Then Al Salazar from Advanced Home Windows & Decor came by with Fred. He measured everything, explained every detail, and showed us setbacks and potential issues that nobody else even mentioned. That same night, they called to see if I had questions. When I said yes, Al came back the next day to walk me through everything again.
His timeline? Six to eight weeks. I placed my order the next day – all windows and sliding doors, $8,000 deposit.
I’ve been in the blind business my entire life (we owned Blinds Galore and More before retiring), so I know this industry inside and out. I have never met a more honest, sincere, and dedicated businessman. What really tells you everything you need to know? His employees. They speak about him with such respect – he’s kind, gentle, and they’ll never leave him.
He worked his way up at Home Depot, then built his own company with integrity at its core. He didn’t ask me to write this. I’m sharing it because if you’re looking for windows, I can save you time and potential headaches.

Called on a Saturday morning 6am.. had my glass sliding door come off the tracking, whole door was out. They had someone here by 1130 that morning fixed and everything. Price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend
I signed a contract with South window and door a year ago and had a tone of issues with them (see all complaints about them on bbb). Anyway, Ive reached out to this company by luck to help me and Fred, Al, MJ and the team have been so amazing in guiding me and helping me get my windows and doors done. I am so appreciative for all they have done to help me and their price was even better than any other company I add got quote from. They have a contractor license, not just a glazing license (not like most windows companies that can only replace same size) and will help and guide you on the process to get your new windows installed even if you decide to convert a window into a door or sliding glass door or a patio side into a large 4 glass panel sliding doors. 2026 We had living room window replaced.
Previously these guys replaced patio doors and one bedroom window. VERY beautiful jobs and high quality installations. With the two windows there were issues with the holes in the brand new screens not being small enough to keep out NO SEE-UMS.
Al, Anthony, Dawn and Jesse went wayyy above and beyond with amazing customer service including several follow up visits and did everything they could possibly to resolve the issue with PGT. In the end it was finally determined that PGT no longer uses NO SEE-UM SCREENING (20 holes per linear inch or 400 holes per square inch) in their screen factory and now use true vue or clear vue screening (bigger holes) which may give a nice view but you end up with NO SEE-UMS in your house. I finally purchased a roll of NO SEE-UM screen at LOWES and my husband and I replaced the screens and now we have no more of these very annoying little pests in the house. (No see ums)
The window installer crew, Al, Anthony, Dawn, Jesse and everybody as always continue to be outstanding professionals, courteous and patient especially when dealing with persistent and at times difficult customers such as myself. PGT should definitely go back to using NO SEE-UM screen mesh in their products.

In a world where alot of window replacement companies play games with ridiculous prices, then they start discounting. Advanced Window & Door is a breath of fresh air. Pricing was upfront, no games. Installation exceeded our expectations. The crew covered all of our furniture, layed tarps on the floors, vacuumed when finished, etc. The owner was here to inspect their work.
